Ages 9 – 12 / Paula Caruana

In this clay exploration for the creative pre-teen, projects range from hand-built
functional pottery to ceramic sculpture inspired by famous artists. Lessons focus on
popular and historic artists, sculptors, ceramicists, and cultural icons. Visits to the
Museum of Art lead the way for projects over the daily two-week session. Limited to 12 students.

LOCATION : Sculpture Studio Building, Lower Level, Enter from main museum parking lot near State Street.

YOUNG ARTISTS | AGES 9 - 12: Pre-teens are developing their aesthetic sense and starting to pursue personally relevant ideas. Supplies provided.

PLEASE NOTE: Parents are asked to provide a snack for break time and a smock to protect clothing. All other supplies are included.

IMPORTANT: To ensure the age appropriateness of the curriculum, children must meet the age requirement listed with each course description by the beginning of class.
