INTRODUCTION TO JEWELRY + METALS
Ages 18 + / Beginners / Shannon Stockbridge


Learn creative fine metalworking through demos and projects designed for
the beginning jeweler. Techniques include sawing, piercing, texturing, riveting,
soldering, and bezel-setting cabochon stones. Utilize class time to practice
techniques and make finished pieces of jewelry. A starter materials kit can be
purchased at the School of Art Reception Desk.

SAFETY INFO: Please wear closed toe shoes and hair tied back for each class.

PLEASE NOTE: There are no open studio or lab hours offered during the summer
jewelry sessions. Students must take a Fall or Spring "Beginning Jewelry" course before progressing to Intermediate/Advanced Jewelry courses.
