Focus on creating functional, sculptural, decorative pieces. Explore form, size, refinement, and surface both on the wheel and through handbuilding techniques like slab, extruding, using hump/slump molds, and more. Special attention is given to creating larger vessels, multiples, and executing sophisticated forms. Prerequisite: Completion of at least two semesters of Intro to Pottery and/or instructor permission to enroll.

TO REGISTER FOR ON-CAMPUS CLASSES, COMMUNITY STUDENTS OVER 18 MUST:
+ Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to the first day of class (full vaccination is two weeks after the final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.)
+ Be prepared to show a vaccination record (physical card, or copy/digital photo of card) to the instructor at your first class.

Firing fees are based on the measured volume of the finished pieces. Firing tickets are $2 each and available for purchase at the School of Art reception desk during business hours.
Required material fees cover the cost of full use of studio clay and glazes.
NEW OPEN STUDIO TIMES
Students currently enrolled in an adult ceramics class may take advantage of open studio hours on Saturdays from 1-5pm or Sundays from 8am - noon or 1-5pm. Open studio spots are limited and must be registered for in advance of attending at SignUp.com.
No classes or open studio the week of November 22-28.
