Ages 18+ | Intermediate/Advanced | Veronica Byun

Focus on creating functional, sculptural, decorative pieces. Explore form, size, refinement, and surface both on the wheel and through hand building techniques like slab, extruding, using hump/slump molds, and more. Special attention is given to creating larger vessels, multiples, and executing sophisticated Prerequisite: Intro to Pottery and/or instructor permission to enroll.

Firing fees are based on the measured volume of the finished pieces. Firing tickets are $2 each and available for purchase at the School of Art reception desk during business hours.

Required material fees cover the cost of full use of studio clay and glazes.

Students currently enrolled in a summer ceramics class may take advantage of summer open studio hours on Wednesdays from 1-4pm or 6-9pm depending on which class the student is enrolled.
